About ScotDPN

The Scottish Developmental Psychology Network for Graduates aims to develop an interdisciplinary and collaborative network of PhD students and early career researchers from Scottish universities with an interest in developmental psychology and well-being across the lifespan.

In particular, we wish to:

  • Provide a safe platform where PhD students or Post-doctoral researchers can share and find support for their research from one another.
  • Plan networking activities – to foster meaningful collaboration within the network – to stimulate research in developmental psychology and well-being across the lifespan
  • Partner with established researchers, practitioners, academics, funders, and governmental and non-government organisations
  • Prepare PhD students and early career researchers for a career after PhD or early career positions.

If you have an interest in developmental psychology and well-being of people across the lifespan, please join us. Scottish Developmental Psychology Network for Graduates was launched in June 2017. It is an initiative by doctoral students of the Centre of Applied Developmental Psychology (CADP), that was initially supported by the Innovative Initiative Grant from the Edinburgh Fund at the University of Edinburgh. Since 2017, the community of ScotDPN has grown across the Scottish Universities with regular Knowledge Exchange and Networking events across Scotland and opportunities for research exchange visits.
